OSP PLANNER – NETWORK ENGINEERING              2005 – 2010

Supported telecommunication services for Northeast and southeast former GTE of Pennsylvania exchanges oversaw Verizon cable and equipment plans, engineering and inventory to meet network demands and effectively managed a annual capital budget for DSL, FTTCS, and Business as Usual (BAU) projects.

 

§         Ensured compliance with PA HSI/DSL regulatory requirement of providing 100% broadband capable network by 2015.

§         Met all daily voice and data service order needs through the effective planning and engineering of OSP and CO telecom equipment.

§         Developed and executed OSP network plans needed to provide DSL to customers throughout the Northeast and Southeast for former GTE of PA customers.

§         Supported Verizon Wireless LTE deployment, created OSP network plans and ordered the transport of equipment for the Fiber to the Cell Site (FTTCS) project.

§         Managed equipment orders from selection to test and in-service.

 

 

 

EQUIPMENT ENGINEER – NETWORK ENGINEERING              2003 – 2005

Carried out equipment engineering methods of procedure (MOP), placed orders for all CO and OSP voice and data equipment and performed inventory on all circuits and equipment throughout former GTE database systems.

Provided OSP engineering for Hershey area exchanges in former GTE network, served customers located within Eastern Pennsylvania, and performed OSP engineering on growth projects.

 

§         Performed engineering and coordination of fiber cable and panel restoration in Northeast Pennsylvania.

§         Provided budgetary oversight and IDDS/ICGS CAD inventory on OSP engineered jobs.

 

 

TRANSMISSION AND PROTECTION ENGINEER              1991 – 2002

Provided Tier II support for OSP service and engineering expertise on diverse projects and initiatives including DLC site layouts, Cell Site Provisioning, High Voltage Protection (HVP) and CO grounding upgrades; skillfully support service quality issues, PUC complaints, and electrical accident investigations.

 

§         Primary OSP engineering and construction technical support engineer for GTE of Pennsylvania.

§         Served as technical trainer for GTE employees on new products and services.
